Day 1 – Arrival, Rimpong Dzong, and Kyichu Lhakhang

We’ll fly into Bhutan from Bangkok on the national airline, Druk Air. We recommend arriving at the Bangkok airport three hours early to ensure making the flight.After arriving in Paro, Bhutan we’ll be met by our incredible guide. Then our adventure really begins as we head to Rimpong Dzong, a stunning 400-year-old fortress brimming with intricate paintings and captivating stories. After exploring the dzong, we’ll check into our hotel for lunch and a rest. In the afternoon, you’ll have the option to visit the Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred monasteries.


Day 2 – Drive to Thimphu, Big Buddha, Hike or Handicraft School
On day two, we’ll drive for an hour along the picturesque Paro and Thimphu Chhu rivers, heading towards the country’s capital, Thimphu. Our first stop will be the awe-inspiring Big Buddha, one of the largest statues in the world. After lunch, you’ll have the choice to either embark on a scenic hike or visit the renowned Bhutanese Handicraft School, where you can observe local artisans at work.


Day 3 – Morning in Thimphu, Drive to Punakha, Divine Madman Temple
You’ll be able to spend the morning exploring the vibrant capital of Thimphu before we journey towards Punakha. On the way, we’ll cross the Dochu La Pass, where, weather permitting, you’ll be treated to a panoramic view of the majestic Himalayan peaks. After descending the pass, we’ll visit the Temple of the Divine Madman, a quirky and fascinating site that celebrates Bhutan’s unique spiritual traditions.


Day 4 – Hike to Khamsam Yulley, Rafting on the Mo Chhu, Visit Punakha Dzong
The fourth day begins with a scenic hike through terraced rice fields to the stunning Khamsam Yulley Monastery, perched above the Mo Chhu Valley. After soaking in the breathtaking views, we’ll drive down to the Mo Chhu river for an exciting rafting adventure. Following lunch on the riverbank, we’ll visit the Punakha Dzong, one of the most beautiful and historically significant fortresses in Bhutan.


Day 5 – Hike in the Morning, Return to Thimphu, Visit Takin Reserve
In the morning, we’ll take a picturesque hike along the Po Chhu river, offering stunning views of the valley and local villages. Afterward, we’ll return to Thimphu, driving back over the Dochu La Pass. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the Takin Reserve, home to Bhutan’s national animal, the takin, and learn about the conservation efforts to protect this unique species.


Day 6 – Drive to Paro, Hike to Tiger’s Nest, Shopping
On our final full day, we’ll embark on a once-in-a-lifetime hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery. Perched on the edge of a cliff, this sacred site offers not only spiritual significance but also panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. After our hike, we’ll return to Paro for a relaxing afternoon of shopping in the town’s quaint markets, where you can find unique Bhutanese crafts and souvenirs.


Day 7 – Departure
After an unforgettable week in Bhutan, we’ll transfer you to the airport for your flight back to Bangkok, carrying with you memories of Bhutan’s beauty, culture, and adventure.
